Carole uses her finger-picking talents to create unique musical arrangements on her Godin nylon-string guitar.
Her music sounds lush & relaxing - her influences include The Beatles, Jazz, 1960s Pop & Bossa Nova.

Jersey-born Carole Le Gresley studied Classical & Spanish guitar with renowned teacher Richard Lawrence. She won numerous awards (including the Junior Music Cup) from the Jersey College for Girls & as a competitor in the Jersey Eisteddfod. Her first professional booking was a 1987 residency at The Stanneylands Hotel, Wilmslow, Cheshire, performing to the stars of Coronation Street & Manchester United's Football Club.

Carole has performed at many high profile events including the BBC Antiques Roadshow Crew party, the Official Launch of the Ford Galaxy, the visit of composer Tony Hatch & the Jersey Boat Show. She has also taught guitar for the Jersey Arts Centre & Highlands College.

Bossa Basseline Music - Jersey's Sax & Guitar Duo -
We're Celebrating 20 years of making music together!

In 2003, Carole met jazz saxophone master Jules Wakeham, and together they created Bossa Basseline Music. Carole & Jules have since played thousands of gigs together, including long-term residencies at St Brelade's Bay Hotel, The Grand Hotel & The L'Horizon Hotel. Carole & Jules are now married and their Bossa Basseline Duo (featuring tenor saxophone & guitar) is always in demand for Weddings, Corporate & Private Functions in Jersey.

In 2016, Carole was contacted by the production team at Sky Art TV's 'Guitar Star' show. Carole was asked to audition for the show. As filming ran from March to July, it clashed with her much-valued gig commitments, so Carole couldn't take part but was thrilled to be asked!
