Carole's Grand Obsession...Music!

Jersey-born Carole Le Gresley (BA Hons) studied Classical and Spanish guitar with renowned teacher Richard Lawrence from an early age. Carole's first professional booking was a 1987 residency at the Stanneylands Hotel, Wilmslow, performing to the stars of Coronation Street & Manchester United Football Club.

'Carole's music is sophisticated, subtle and absolutely delightful! Her unique interpretations of great tunes will certainly add wonderful memories and atmosphere to any event.'
S.Scott, Wilmslow, Cheshire

Carole has also performed for the BBC Antique’s Roadshow crew, for the launch of Ford Car’s Galaxy vehicle, for composer and star of ITV’s ‘New Faces’ show Tony Hatch, and worked as a session guitarist. Carole teaches both guitar and piano, and has taught guitar for both the Jersey Arts Centre and Highlands College. She has played alongside Alex Garnett (Ronnie Scott’s MC and saxophone legend) and Steve Rushton (drummer with Imelda May).
In 2003, Carole met jazz saxophone master Jules Wakeham, and together they created Bossa Basseline Music. Bossa Basseline Music has since performed at over 2,000 events in Jersey.  Both full-time, professional musicians, Carole and Jules are the core of the Bossa Basseline Duo. They also perform with jazz-guitarist extraordinaire, Mick, and outstanding drummer/percussionist Kenny in the Bossa Basseline Jazz Trio, Latin Trio and Bossa Basseline Jazz Quartet.

Jules and Carole are now married!
